Washington, D.C.— Generation Progress today announced the launch of We Are Progress: Turning Vision to Action, a series of trainings in cities across the nation that will equip activists with the tools and resources necessary to mobilize young people around the issues that they care about. These trainings will bring together community members in cities across the country and will feature speakers, workshops, seminars, and panel discussions, on citizen lobbying, civic leadership, and media engagement.

The first We Are Progress training will launch on May 11th in Atlanta, GA in conjunction with the Center for American Progress’ Women Progress: People, Power and Policy.

The series of trainings are a follow-up to the Inauguration Day boot camp held last year where dozens of young progressive Millennials were trained in successful mobilizing tactics. We Are Progress seeks to sustain and enhance the youth power seen over the last year. These trainings will take place in partnership with a variety of national and local organizations.

Over the last few years, our country has been exposed to the power of young people at the polls, on the streets, and through the media. We Are Progress will enhance and elevate the work of young activists that are mobilizing in their local communities, cement their power, and establish them as current and future leaders of our country.
