Simran Jagtiani is an intern for Generation Progress. She is currently studying International Relations and Politics (IRP) at Carnegie Mellon University, with minors in Gender Studies and Hispanic Studies. Prior to Generation Progress, she has interned at the Department of Education and worked as a Research Associate at the Center for IRP through her university. These experiences have made her passionate about issues like criminal justice reform and have helped her work on her writing—both of which intersect at Generation Progress. In her spare time, she likes to frequent D.C. parks, concert venues, and rallies!
