Mayu Takeda is a Senior Advocacy Associate for Generation Progress. Prior to joining Generation Progress, she was a second-grade teacher in Kansas City, Missouri. She previously interned for Gov. John W. Hickenlooper (D-CO), the Littleton Immigrant Resources Center, Rights for All People, the Immigration team at American Progress, and the Center for American and International Law. Mayu earned a B.A. in political science with a minor in psychology from the University of Texas at Dallas. She also served as a Bill Archer fellow for the University of Texas System.
